The "Effervescent" Eta Mu Zeta Chapter

Serving the South Puget Sound Since 1972

We are the first and oldest chapter in Washington State, with over 50 years of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood. We serve the South Puget Sound Region of Pierce, Thurston, and Kitsap Counties, including JBLM, Tacoma, and Olympia. Our Membership is composed of women from all walks life, and they represent the many diversities of the communities in which we serve.

Greetings,

On behalf of the extraordinary members of the Eta Mu Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, located in the beautiful state of Washington, welcome to our virtual home. It is an honor to serve as Chapter President and to continue the legacy of scholarship, service, sisterhood, and finer womanhood that defines our beloved sisterhood.

This year, our theme — “Our Authentic Best. Excellence with Purpose, Change with Impact.” — guides every initiative, partnership, and act of service we undertake. It calls us to lead with authenticity, to pursue excellence with intention, and to create meaningful change that uplifts our communities.

As a chapter, we always put people first. We lead with compassion, work together with care, and treat one another with respect in all we do. We also want to build strong support systems that help our members, strengthen our community, and make a real difference over time. At the heart of everything we do is service guided by integrity and inclusion, because we believe every voice matters and every contribution helps us move forward.
