On March 4, 1972 the Eta Mu Zeta chapter was chartered to serve the Tacoma, WA community. Eta Mu Zeta members have a history achieving professional success, a dedication to improving our community, and share a common belief in the power of sisterhood.
Many of the chapter's early members served in leadership positions in the public school system, within the U.S. Armed Services, and the healthcare industry.

 

Our Charter Members are: Rita Agard, Kathleen "Billye" Carter*,  Ida Clark*, Lois Bradford*, Jean Grant*, Lillian Jasper, Lola Johnson*, Liz Manus, Gilda Oliver*, Major Rutherford*, Henrietta Stewart*, and Ann Stewman.
