When and where did you become a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated?
I became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated – Eta Mu Zeta chapter (Tacoma, WA) on June 4, 2018.
Why did you choose Zeta?
My friend (Soror Shawnte Reynolds) spoke with me about Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. I went to an information meeting and a few events with them. As the years passed, I enjoyed seeing them work collectively for the betterment of the community. The sisterhood they displayed and the way they carried themselves was something I admired. I enjoy helping people. So, I knew this was a great fit for me!
Where did you go to school? What is your major?
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Columbia Southern University (Bachelor of Business Administration and Human Resource Management) and Magna Cum Laude with my Masters in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University. I am currently completing my Education Administration certification at the University of Washington – Tacoma. I also graduated from Columbus Technical College and obtained my Master Cosmetology certification in the state of Georgia in 2001

Currently, I am a 4th grade teacher and a principal intern. I complete my internship on June 13, 2020.
What is a fond Zeta Memory?
One fond Zeta memory I have is when my cousins became Zetas in the Phenomenal Pacific region. Growing up, when nobody else was around, family was there. Through any trial, we always found a way to make things right. So, when my cousins became Zetas, it was a great feeling knowing that my family and I can now share Zeta moments!
What are some of your Hobbies and Interest?
I truly enjoy writing! In my opinion, writing is very therapeutic. I started a book some years ago, but life got in the way. So, I stopped. I also enjoy sewing and making t-shirts. I haven’t had the time to do any of the above lately, but once I finish school, I plan on starting again.
What Positions have you held in Zeta on any level?
2nd Vice President of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated – Eta Mu Zeta chapter Please share a quote, passage, or bible verse that resonates with you.
“Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work.” ~Aristotle
What Zeta Principle do you most relate to and why?
The Zeta principle I most relate to is Scholarship. I am an educator and have served on my high school class’ alumni, scholarship committee for years…often donating a scholarship. I enjoy being a part of a student’s growth! Teaching them to train their brains to have a Growth Mindset and to believe in themselves is very rewarding!
